Reviews
Reviews are one of the most difficult things to acquire as a writer. Below is a list of books I reviewed.
Crystal Warrior
Crystal Warrior by Mike CooleyMy rating: 3 of 5 stars
I downloaded a review copy from StoryCartel.
The Crystal Warrior... What can I say. Not my favourite. This is not a book I would recommend to sensitive readers. The classic evil theme of good vs evil is present throughout the book.

If you are a Harry Potter fan, you will like this trilogy. In no way is it similar, except that Valerie's an orphan. The Globe is a magical planet created for magical creatures. Valerie is born with magical power that are killing her. She must find her way to the Globe if she is to survive. There is just one problem, oops, one of many. The Globe is in space somewhere. The evil Fractose will stop at nothing to prevent her from succeeding. Will she be able to find the brother she didn't know she had? Will she be able save the Globe and Earth from the Fractose?
The war between good and evil runs throughout this trilogy. Just like in real life, these books teach us that we have a choice in life. That making the right choices is important and that each choice carries consequences. Beautiful values are taught for e.g. Perseverance, persistence, loyalty, and teamwork.
Demon's Daughter

Demon's Daughter: A Cursed Book by Amy BraunMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
I received a review copy.
I really-really-really liked it. I am an action kind of girl so this was a real treat for me and I understand the paranormal world better than most. I wish I had a sister like Connie when I grew up. Life sure would have been a lot easier. It just proves that love can conquer everything life throws at us and redefine the saying that blood is thicker than water. At least in this case. The story is fast paced and intense. Turning page after page I followed Connie and Dro as they tried to survive one day at a time. Thank God for strangers who are still willing to help those in trouble. There is so much I want to write here, but then I will spoil it for you. Demon's Daughter is one book I would like to see turned into either a movie or tv series. This is a truly an all rounder. I give it 10 thumbs up. :-) Hurry up

Azurite by Megan Dent NagleMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
This is a review copy I received.
Oh Boy! Am I glad I pushed through the first few chapters to discover a gem of a read. This is not my normal gender of brain food, but I must admit that I am pleasantly surprised. Just imagine you are born into the royal family of Winnser of Azurite but you are a bastard child. Your mother hates you but keeps you around. To make matters worse. You don't know your father and you have a special gift that could save the country you love, but your mother instead exiles you to the far borderlands. Well done Megan Dent Nagle for taking me on a wonderful journey. Please hurry up with book two so I can see what happens next to the kind Azora.
